Our Smoothcoats
Mare-bella's Sports Edition!
(outstanding smoothcoats)
We have some outstanding smoothcoats! These all are my daughter Mariah's and have moved with Mariah to her new home! Because of some poor breeding habits, nice smoothcoats are becoming harder and harder to find in America. Mariah does a superb job in choosing, raising and caring for her pups and dogs. Even as a little girl Mariah was such a natural at animal care. She is a beautiful and capable person who has helped make this dream for me possible! She has been my strength and second set of arms!

I want to give some recognition to Ms Anne Stark of Piper's Whippets and Miniature Dachshunds. I contacted Anne a few years ago, loving her dogs. I had contacted other breeders as well, looking for beautiful smooth coats to add to my program. Most wouldn’t answer or would brush me off with the answer “you don’t show so, no.” How does one show if they are not able to find a breeder with show lines to share their lines for one to start showing?! Anne was one that did answer me. She was very nice, and one that I liked her dogs more than the others! Like many others she doesn’t sell for breeding or for show. But as we talked more she decided to let me purchase my boy Dom! Oh I was thrilled! She didn’t say I had to show him or anything! (Not that I was against showing if any of the breeders I had contacted said they would let me purchase a pup if I showed it. I would have but I didn’t even know where to start). Later on I purchased Caleb and a couple years ago I purchased Nutmeg. Always thinking I’d love to show them if I knew where to start. Anne did help me and I was able to find a wonderful handler and I sent Nutmeg. She is my first champion!! Now I have other breeders that will work with me now because I show my dogs. But Anne, she believed in me and helped me before! I will be forever thankful for Anne Stark! With her lines and her mentoring I have produced the most beautiful pups we have ever had! Thank you Anne for your trust in me and your beautiful dogs! You are amazing! Ms Mariah
